Victoria Hubbell is a cornerstone of the Portland Yacht Services team, bringing two decades of experience, a sharp sense of humor, and a deep commitment to learning and growth. With a foundation in marine mechanics from the Marine Mechanics Institute (MMI), a business degree from Southern Maine Community College, and current studies at Husson University, Victoria expertly blends technical know-how with top-tier organizational and customer service skills. Her specialty in outboard parts makes her an essential resource both behind the scenes and at the front desk.



Her path into the marine industry began with dreams of becoming a marine biologist—dreams that shifted in high school with the guidance of her Marine Propulsion teacher, Paul Morris. That encouragement helped steer her into marine mechanics, eventually leading to a pivotal coin toss that brought her to Maine for a fresh start. Since joining PYS, Victoria has worn many hats—from the parts department to a leadership role to becoming a vital member of the front office team.

Today, she’s often the first person customers see or hear when they reach out. Known for her candor, quick wit, and no-nonsense attitude, Victoria makes a memorable first impression. She doesn’t shy away from tough conversations and is a strong advocate for trusting the pros when it comes to boat maintenance—often reminding boaters, “Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.”

Her favorite boating memory? A classic misadventure: running out of gas on a jet ski just before MercTech finals in Orlando, then swimming it a mile back to shore with a friend—laughing the whole way, gator threat and all.

Outside of work, Victoria enjoys reading, building Legos with her child, reorganizing her bearded dragon’s tank, and treating herself to ice cream between study sessions.

What she values most about Portland Yacht Services is the sense of family, the mutual respect among team members, and the personal support she’s received—both in her education and as a parent. As she puts it, “We’ll absolutely pick on each other, but we’ll never let anyone else do it.”
