Justina Marcisso has spent over 30 years mastering office management, operations, and customer service. Her expertise spans administrative leadership, event planning, business fundamentals, and process improvement. She built a strong foundation in business and accounting through coursework at New England College and Purdue University (formerly Andover College) and is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration at Husson University.
Her journey into the boating industry began in 1992 at the Portland Company Complex, where she assisted with events. What started as a side opportunity quickly turned into a passion for the marine world. Over the years, she transitioned from part-time support to a full-time role at Portland Yacht Services, where she now manages a growing crew. Her role is rooted in office operations, but her deep respect for the industry and those who work in it has shaped her career.
Growing up, Justina spent weekends on the water with her father, developing a lifelong appreciation for boating. That connection has only deepened through her work, particularly in customer service and understanding the unique demands of seasonal boating life. “Some of my fondest memories come from working at the Maine Boatbuilders Show, where boatbuilders, craftspeople, and enthusiasts gathered to celebrate their shared passion.”
Justina prides herself on delivering exceptional customer experiences by ensuring smooth operations and maintaining personal connections with clients. She believes that remembering names, faces, and voices over the phone is a key factor in making people feel valued. Her advice to boaters? “Stay ahead of maintenance—preventative care can save a lot of stress in the long run.”
Outside of work, Justina enjoys photography, particularly capturing Maine’s coastal beauty, and loves to travel. She has visited destinations like Hawaii, Spain, and Costa Rica but equally enjoys cheering on her son at sporting events. The camaraderie at the boatyard is one of her favorite parts of the job—”working with a diverse, dedicated team that knows how to pull together when it counts. The fast-paced environment, the humor, and the shared commitment to excellence make every day an adventure I wouldn’t trade for anything—well, maybe for one weekend on a private jet!”
