Joined the Crew in 2025

John Belliveau came aboard Portland Yacht Services in 2025 as an Outboard Technician and has already made an impression with his strong work ethic, positive attitude, and attention to detail. With a background in HVAC and hands-on technical skills, John is also forklift and aerial platform certified, holds a propane/natural gas license, and brings extensive customer service experience to the team. Always showing up with a smile, he’s the kind of person who leads with both skill and spirit.



His interest in the boating world started with a love for time spent on the water—family fishing trips, tubing adventures, and sandbar hangouts. But it was his time in the Navy that truly inspired his passion for working on boats. Though he doesn’t yet own one, John’s love for the lake and sea lifestyle runs deep, especially when it involves casting a line or just kicking back on open water.

John approaches every customer interaction with empathy and care, treating each boat like it were his own. He believes that a little extra maintenance and attention can go a long way and encourages boaters to stay on top of the basics. Outside of work, he enjoys relaxing in his backyard with music, staying in shape, and cheering on Boston sports—Go Pats! What he enjoys most about the boatyard is the great energy among his teammates and the constant opportunity to learn and improve. For John, every day is a chance to grow just 1% better—for himself, his coworkers, and the company.
